You can spray the plants with Japanese beetle killer, found in most retailers and online. Sevin dust can also work, but it might kill beneficial insects along with the Japanese beetles. Some ingredients to look for when purchasing an insecticide are carbaryl, acephate, and permethrin.

Eat a well-balanced diet. Eat a diet high in whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables, and lean protein with calories set for gradual weight reduction (e.g. about 1-2 pounds per week). Cut way back on added sugars since these nutrients will more likely end up as visceral fat. Sleep more, stress less.
